Show students how to set up a blog that is not visible to a search engine. Each student will need to set up their own blog and retrieve the published URL so that we can use these blogs for reflections for this class. Discuss the benefits to blogging for K-12 students (can you give examples for Special Needs, elementary, middle, and/or high school?)

Drop by the Intel Lab or the Teacher Resource Library to practice on the SMARTboard there. You can do this individually, or with your group. I will book the Intel Lab on this day for our class session. I also have many lessons created in Notebook 10—if you make an appointment, I will show you how the program works and share a few examples.

Every district has a district license to an electronic gradebook. For your demo, use Easygrade Pro. (You can download the software from the company's web site and manuals are there too.) The software is loaded on our instructor station for your demo. For this particular innovation your classmates will not be able to have a hands-on experience (but you might use NetOps!).
